About Bach flower remedies
Dr Edward Bach was an English doctor and homeopath who, in the 1930s, described 38 flower remedies. Each one is linked with a particular emotional state, like worry, impatience, low confidence or feeling overwhelmed.
They are chosen by how you feel, not by physical symptoms, and several can be combined in one bottle. They are made from the flowers of wild plants and trees, prepared in spring water and preserved in brandy.
Bach flower remedies are a separate tradition from homeopathy, and many people like to use the two alongside each other.
How to take
Follow the directions on the label. Traditionally, a few drops are taken under the tongue or added to a glass of water and sipped, several times a day, for as long as the feeling lasts.
On the go? Add a few drops to a water bottle and sip through the day.
